For information:

  • Have you checked the "Dates of Manufacture" page for a date for your pre-1950 1899/99?
  • Have you checked the "Model Characteristics" page to determine the model of your pre-1950 Savage 1899/99?
  • Have you checked the "Data Sheets" page for an information packet for your Savage or Stevens firearm?
  • Have you checked the "Links and Web Rings" page for other helpful resources?
  • Have you checked the "Other Publications about Savages" or considered purchasing Kimmel's book or West's book?
  • Have you considered purchasing another book about your firearm or sight?
  • I can not give values estimates.  Values vary greatly with condition and even locality.  Your best bet is to visit one of the big chain book stores.  Most carry a variety of books that can give an idea of the value of your rifle.

One of the best places to ask questions is the Savage Collectors Forum!
Due to the high volume, I can no longer answer most emails.

Thanks! Email Ken (ken@savage99.com) with your ideas and comments!
